LOSH is officially back in full swing as President Vernell Bowen presided over the first General Meeting on September 12th. Ladies enjoyed reconnecting, learning about what's planned for the year, and contributing 'something extra' to local schools by bringing loads of school supplies! To see ALL that happened at the meeting, check out the General Meeting minutes. (To see a bigger image of any photo, click on the pencil in the bottom right corner of each picture.)

Our 2021 Fall Bake Sale was a resounding success thanks to the efforts of our talented bakers, dedicated volunteers and extraordinary Event Chair, Marty Schnoebelen! Volunteers came out on Saturday to greet Villagers with good cheer and delicious pies, cookies, muffins and other delicious specialties. On Sunday, Marty's team arrived in the dark and worked through some chilly weather. All to earn over $2448 to donate to our LOSH charities, an amount nearly $500 over our budget!!! Thanks to the hard work of these ladies, LOSH was able to provide an unanticipated $500 to the SHJ Food Basket Program in addition to the usual support we give to this worthy ministry to our neighbors in need. WELL DONE, TEAM!!! |

Ladies of Sacred Heart would like to thank a wonderful and beautiful group of parishioners from our church who have been working tirelessly to make face masks for our community's essential workers. The project began with CHI St. Vincent and soon grew to include other HSV organizations and communities across our country. Working with Colleen Angel (Tiny Angels) and her volunteers, they have made close to 1,200 masks in just three short weeks. Sacred Heart volunteers include Anne Dierks, Marty and Randy Schnoebelen, Jane Blankenstein, Dee Kapple, Patti Sheppard, Jackie Beaumont (daughter of Ruth Knight), Sherrie Nichols, Colleen Dimitry, Liz Edwards, Karen Feckler, Mary Ann Farner, Reta Osmond, Debbie Garrett, Bonnie Norell and Linny Rohrer.
Mask recipients include:
CHI St. Vincent hospital and clinics (560)
HSV Police, Fire and Sanitation Departments
Mt. Carmel Retirement Community
US Postal Service Office
Black River Falls Hospital (Wisconsin)
Health Mart Pharmacy #1
VA Hospital in Louisiana
The ladies offered face masks to National Park hospital but they declined the donation. These face masks are now available to Sacred Heart Parishioners in exchange for a donation to the Tiny Angels program. Contact Liz Edwards (832.236.3350) for more information.
On March 9, 2020, Ladies of Sacred Heart members were treated to a wonderful music program at their March General Meeting — Toni Spears brought the Muses Project Celtic Spring program to Sacred Heart. Five pairs of tickets for Friday's performance at the Woodlands were given away to LOSH members. Ticket winners left to right: Deb Sprecher, Sara Pilgrim, Kathy Ament, Pat Miller and Bernadette Kroetz.
