Debbie graduated from UCA with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Her first teaching job was at St. Mary’s Elementary School in North Little Rock where she was exposed to the Catholic Church and the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. During that first year she experienced a call to enter the Church and did the following year. She spent the next 30 years studying Church teachings and life in different Catholic Church settings and locations. In 2011 she heard God call her back to Arkansas to care for her aging mother and to begin ministering in the field of Adult Faith Formation and Spiritual Direction. The topics she teaches include: Vatican II Documents, Catechism of the Catholic Church, Prayer, St. Ignatius’ Rules for Discernment, Christology and Church History. We are excited that she is available and willing to enrich our parish women.
Registration & Morning Social starting at 9:30 a.m. Retreat 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Please bring a sack lunch, drinks provided. If interested in attending, please text Peggy Peters at 501-231-6699 with your name and parish.

Holy Souls Catholic Church in Little Rock is hosting its Women's Gathering, "Bear Much Fruit", on Saturday, October 5. All women are encouraged to attend this day of prayer, inspired talks, and community building. This event begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 4:00 p.m. The speakers will be Spiritual Directors Cindy Shaw and Diane Bausom. TIckets are $25 each with lunch and childcare provided. Ladies of Sacred Heart is pleased to present their Fall fundraiser "Fall Into Fashion" to be held at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church on October 21, 2019. Fashions by Kohl's will be featured and lunch will be catered by Dolce Vita. The fun begins with a silent auction at 11:30 a.m. Tickets are $17.00 and can be purchased from your Guild Captains or by contacting Marian LaVelle at (501) 209-2435. If you have items you wish to donate for our silent auction, please contact Barb Potter at (501) 226-3246.
The second annual LOSH Pot Of Gold fundraiser was another huge success!! Over $5,300 was raised to benefit local charities. A generous portion of the food cost was donated by parish members, and our LOSH ladies donated delicious pies for dessert. Walking with Purpose is back for Fall! Please consider joining us for Reclaiming Friendship, a 6 week study that explores God's plan for friendship, which was meant to be a foretaste of Heaven. What a wonderful way to dive back into relationships as we come back from COVID. Like all Walking with Purpose studies, Reclaiming Friendship will help us explore the link between everyday challenges and the solutions given to us through the teachings of Jesus and the Catholic Church through personal study and small group discussions.
Sessions will be held between October 4 - November 15. Watch the church bulletin for preregistration details in September. The cost of the workbook will be $20.
